Description
Beautiful vintage Gaynor-Stanford Ind. Inc. dressmaking fabric, estimated to date from the 1950s to early 1960s. The fabric has an ivory/cream ground scattered with delicate purple florals, bright green leaves and soft beige floral motifs. It has a finely textured, slightly crinkled or crepe-like surface with a nice drape. A lovely mid-century print that would work especially well for vintage-inspired clothing. The original selvage is marked “© Gaynor-Stanford Ind. Inc.” Measures approximately 4+ continuous yards x 42” wide. Fiber content is unknown and has not been tested. It has the appearance and hand of a crepe-type dress fabric, but I don’t want to speculate on fiber content. Very nice usable vintage yardage with enough length for many sewing projects, including dresses, skirts, blouses, robes, period reproduction clothing, costuming or doll clothing. Vintage condition with expected minor signs of age/storage. Please review photos carefully for condition and selvage identification. #Haberdashery #SewingFabric
