Description
Antique 1940s 1950's Souvenir Recipe Tapestry / Kitchen Towel. Carrie Wilson I had to take pictures in the sunlight to show you how bright they are for being 60 to 70 years old! The backdrop tablecloth is a very light gold to show the whiteness. The second pic is from indoors, they are somewhere between the two. These linen tapestries were often purchased by military men who where stationed overseas to send back to Moms, Aunts or Wives and Girlfriends. They are beautiful, brightly colored and well done, including recipes for local dishes, in this case swedish pancakes. This is a vintage Carrie Wilson printed linen kitchen tea towel featuring a Swedish omelette (omelat) recipe with traditional folk art floral motifs. This one measures 28.75 x 16.75 and weighs 2.5ozs. When folded, it can be mailed in a 9 x 11 x .5 card board mailer.
